I always find these relaxation techniques important to de-stress myself, even though I do not practice them like that too often however I do meditate in silence and recharge myself with energy; which always works. His voice is very relaxing as is the music. Visualization is important to really feel the benefits of the relaxation exercise and I was thoroughly relaxed and happy after I completed it. Just to point out I needed it as today was a stressful one!
Hi, Lou. Were you able to feel yourself becoming more relaxed during the exercise, or was it more that you noticed a difference after you were done? I have always loved lying in savasana (Corpse or Absorption Pose) at the end of a yoga session, and taking that final inventory of my body, letting the tension melt bit by bit. It's amazing when you realize you've been holding stress somewhere and are finally able to allow it to fall away. My usual spots are the hips -- how about you?
